It’s Labor Day again!
The word “Labor Day,” even though it’s a fun holiday, doesn’t sound fun. Labor, work. My Lord, that doesn’t sound great.
You know, the holiday is to pay respect to the workers of our country. But I want to talk to you about the concept of work. The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary. So you have to work if you want to succeed.
But the truth is you have to be working at the right things, at the right opportunity. Too many of us spend our whole life pouring time, energy, effort and work into something that’s going to make somebody else wealthy. Or make somebody else successful. You have to choose where you put your efforts. That’s my challenge to you, to do an inventory.

I’m not telling everybody to go quit their job, but you’ve got to think about, “Is what I’m doing fulfilling me?” Which by the way, is more important than money.
“Does it fulfill me?”
“Does it make me feel good?”
“Am I happy?”
And, “Does this give me a vehicle to live the life I want to live, to live life on my terms?” And if the answer to all those are no, like I said, I’m not telling you to quit your job, but I’m telling you, you better start finding and getting in traffic and looking for the opportunity that’s going to give you those things.
We have a short time on this earth. We’re not going to get a do-over. It goes by fast, so where will you spend your time and where will you put your labors to work to allow you to live the life you want to live?
