Today, Become a Daily Goal Setter

Today, Become a Daily Goal Setter

Published March 2017

I will today get better than I was yesterday.

I will move forward today toward my goal.

The key to a great career is to become a daily goal setter and a daily goal hitter.

You know, we say we’re human beings, but we’re really human becomings. We’re either getting better or we’re getting worse. We’re moving forward or we’re going backward. You’ve got to get up in the morning, and you’ve got to say, “These are the four, five, six key things I’ve got to get done today,” and you get them done. Before you lay down, you’ve checked them off the to-do list.

Great careers start with great years. Great years start with great months. Great months start with great weeks, and great weeks start with great days. And let me tell you what, great days start with great thoughts.

Attack the day. Set a goal, get after it and go win the day.
